Now it is time to discuss the essays you wrote over the weekend. I am interested to see what are the 'trees' in the world today that everyone perceives. After we are done discussing the essays, you will quickly grade each others work and give some critical feedback.
We will have a quiz on Plate Tectonics Wednesday. Review the keynote up to "Three Types of Stress."
Wednesday:
We will begin at a fast pace so hang on. In class we will be discussing geologic Earth processes, but at home you will be reading and researching Earth's history. Below is the PDF from the eBook we will be using in this class. You will need to read and outline through section 5 by Friday. Sorry if this seems confusing, it will make sense shortly.
If you have internet access at home and would prefer just to look at the full book online (with lots of other sources) feel free to use the site below. We will use this all year long. The Habitable Planet
Also, please remind me about the AP Study Guides I have purchase for the class. They will help in preparing for the test.
Friday: Target Vote
Good day to all. I hope you are having a wonderful day and are excited about the weekend. To get started please respond to the Google form below. I also shared the link just in case this does not work. Daily Opener: Living in SoCal
Today we will continue notes and our discussion on the Solid Earth and Earth's Processes. I will also share a couple of fun T&M videos with you.
For the extended weekend you will be busy. You will need to study the notes you took in class as well as the four Keynote Links from Monday. We will be taking a review quiz (oh no, scary) on Wednesday dealing with the Solid Earth. You may use a 5x7 notecard for notes during the quiz. Take advantage of this, it is to help you out.
Also, you will need to read and outline the rest of Unit 1 by Wednesday. We will be discussing and sharing our findings on Wednesday as well. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. But please text me, I will be out of town all weekend so I will not be checking my email.
Daily Opener to get you to think. Plate Tectonics on Quizlet.
I will collect your signed syllabus. Below is a digital copy for your records and reference.
